Welcome to Cygnet House, the preparatory department of Glenlola Collegiate. We are a small school with an excellent reputation for high academic success. At Cygnet House we are committed to providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children will receive the best possible start to their education. The Head of Cygnet House is Mrs E. Ferguson.
The Northern Ireland Curriculum forms the core of our educational programme and we incorporate both traditional and modern methods of teaching. We value each pupil as an individual and adapt to cater for the academic, personal and social needs of every child.
Our aim is to ensure that every child is happy in their learning and we promote the development of their confidence, self-esteem and independence.
Cygnet House is an integral part of Glenlola Collegiate and it is located on Bloomfield Road. It is comprised of new classrooms equipped with Interactive Whiteboards. It has excellent facilities, with full access to the Sports’ Hall, Drama Theatre, Computer Suite and the Main Hall in the grammar school. Our well equipped Playgroup is now accepting boys and girls whose ages range from 3-4 years.
The attendance rate of pupils at the school is over 96% and last year we had 89% success rate of P7 pupils achieving a grammar school place.
